Today at a well attended press conference held at The Grand, New Delhi saw the unveiling of the designers and sponsors for the Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW). For its debut season, Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW) announced the designer line up and sponsors for the Festive-Winter 2010 being held from the 15th - 19th September ’10 at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur.
The Storm Fashion Company (SFC) who are the producers of the event and the advisors to BPJIFW - Gaurav Sharma, CEO - SFC, Atul Pandey, partner- SFC, Designer Rahul Jain, advisor- BPJIFW, Designer Puneet Nanda, advisor - BPJIFW, Show director Liza Varma were present to launch the first edition of Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week.
Film actress, Anjana Sukhani, who has been chosen as the Brand Ambassador for BPJIFW was present to celebrate the launch of the royal fashion week to hit Jaipur this September. She said she was most emotional and excited to spearhead this fashion homecoming to her hometown.
BPJIFW will witness 25 Indian and 3 international designers and 12 major corporates as sponsors, come together to set new trends in fashion and business in the pink city. BPJIFW will have a grand opening with mesmerizing collections showcased by designer duo RAHUL AND GUNJAN, with Anjana Sukhani walking for them as the show stopper. The ‘Grand Finale’ will celebrate 20 years of ASHIMA & LEENA, one of India’s most celebrated couture designer duos.
The royal fashion week has collaborated with presenting sponsor Blenders Pride and strategic collaborations with Kingfisher, Lavazza, Videocon, Sony Music, Indian Terrain, Mahindra Xylo, Indigo Airlines and Himalayan while the Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur is the venue and official hospitality partner.
As a special debut initiative Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week will have an exclusive Menswear Day with four Indian and one international designer, featuring in this exciting addition. India’s most celebrated couture designers Ashima & Leena, see this as a befitting tribute and thanksgiving to all the royal clientele they have been dressing from Rajasthan. Rahul Jain of Designer Duo Rahul and Gunjan fame, said that hailing from jaipur they see this as a perfect homecoming and also like to support Storm Fashion company’s initiative of taking Fashion to non metros and connecting it to the main stream.
