Fashion is an evolving industry where new trends are born by the minute! Indian designers have come a long way with their vibrant designs catering to prêt and couture lines, thus making their mark in this established industry. In spite of such competition, designer Sabbah Sharma decided to take a chance in this market and has come through as a designer known for her different styles and designs.
At the age of 27 years this young talented woman has to her credit celebrity clientele. She has lent her creative touch to numerous Bollywood celebrities like the supremely stylish Twinkle Khanna, the diva Sushmita Sen, the effervescent Kajol and Tabu, Sania Mirza, Soha Ali Khan, Tisca Chopra, Maria Goretti, Sameera Reddy, Dia Mirza, Shaheen Abbas, Sona Mohapatra, Shradha Kapoor, Mini Mathur to name a few.
Sabbah journeyed into the world of fashion by studying from Istituto Marangoni (Italy); there after her journey continued as an assistant stylist for movies and ad films with the company Dresscircle. In August 2008, she launched her very own Label ‘SabbahSharma’ and now owns a boutique in Mumbai known as ‘SabbahSharma’ the store, which she opened in October 2009. Sabbah is known for crafting well-tailored and uniquely cut garments for the women of today. The label ‘SabbahSharma’ has been retailed to stores across India like Attic (Mumbai), Sobo (Mumbai), Zoya (Mumbai), Ogaan Closet (Delhi), Tamaara (Hyderabad), Sade (Pune), Noir Desire (Australia) and The Leela Spa Retail Stores (The Leela Group Of Hotels)
Having participated in Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2009 as a Gen Next designer, Sabbah’s knack for stylish and chic designs has been labeled as a new age contemporary designer. She believes that fashion is an extension of a person’s personality as clothes should express and empower women. “Simple yet multifaceted, strong yet feminine, independent yet rooted” is the design philosophy of her label with a signature style of chic, structured and elegant silhouettes, fabric texturing and ergonomic forms. Her elegant designs are appealing to the youth of today and help define their personality. And owing to her dynamic creations Ms. Sharma is here to spread her magic!
