Lisaa School of Design marked its official launch in India at Alliance Francaise, Lodhi Road with an evening full of art and music. Along with Jerome Bonnafaunt, the French Ambassador to India gracing the occasion, Mumbai-based visual-jockey Ayan De, internationally renowned graffiti artist Jas Chiranjiva and highly talented students of NID filled the air with graphics and colours.

The presence of fashion and design glitterati along with famous artists and renowned architects added to the evenings excitement.  Artist Satish Gujral, sculptor Hemi Bawa, world renowned architects  Raj Rewal and his wife Elaine and Olivier Nadal were appreciative of the student works.

Architect Ashok Dhawan and his wife Rama, former Director of the crafts museum Jyotindra Jain and his wife Jutta, now the Head and Founder of the Art and aesthetics department at JNU; Ruchira Ghosh Chairperson of National Crafts Museum added more than just glamour to the evening with there support !

“LISAA (l'Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués) decided to set up its first school in Delhi, India, for it is a country with a great deal of potential. LISAA's activity in higher education clearly fits in perfectly within the objectives of this future India.  Design is in fact in full development in India and the Indian Government launched, in February, "The National Design Policy".  The French automobile manufacturer, Renault, has set up a Design studio.  The Korean company, LG, is preparing "Design Made for India"...everyone is talking about the explosion of design in India!” stated Steven Bertalli, Director of International Relations, Lisaa.

Lisaa in France is located at four locations: Paris, Rennes, Nantes and Strasbourg.

L’ Institut Superieur des Arts Appliqués is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture in France. Lisaa, France graduates have been hired by some of the top design houses across the world. It has been associated with over 200 brands such as Louis Vitton, Euro Disney, Kenzo, Hermes Paris, Saatchi & Saatchi, Alcatel, Alstom on projects and exposes its students to real design issues.
